Meadowvale all ages and abilities friendly Precinct Development

Modbury, South Australia | PROGRESS: DETAILED DESIGN REVIEW

BEENGS consultants are tendering for the project set-out by the City Council of Tea Tree Gully, in affiliation with ECH, and collaboration with the University of South Australia. The project is funded by the Office for Aging Well regarding the design and delivery of a framework.

Collectively, our aims are to deliver innovative solutions to facilitate pedestrian and cyclist traffic throughout the entire precinct, the entire area & infrastructures are designed to be DDA compliant. The precinct offers accessibility for all-ages and all-abilities, therefore BEENGS have designed the entire precinct connectivity infrastructure to be DDA compliant, whilst precinct elements such as the playground and community garden to be all-ages and ability friendly. Additionally, the precinct is designed to be equipped with surveillance, additional solar panelled lighting, and emergency towers for added safety – providing a welcoming and safe environment.

The precinct still inhabits its natural forest-like feel, with added timber decked bridges, stone gabion walls, a creek realignment to mitigate soil erosions and vegetation clean-up and regrowth.

Other added amenities included are ample shelter & seating areas, large community open spaces, barbeque facilities, bike-track area, universal toilet facility and more.

All BEENG department has been heavily involved in all aspects from tender to detailed design. To view our progress, download the documents below.
